Yes you can add an email link.

Step 1:
Write and select the text that you want to pull up the email message from.

Step 2:
Click on the Globe with the Chain Link icon in the toolbar, to the right of the paragraph formatting.

Step 3:
Change the link type in the popup to E-mail

Step 4:
Add the change the email address to that of the recipient.

Step 5:
Put in a Message Subject.

Step 6:
Click Ok and then save the page or article.

*Note in the \"Message Body\" do not have an enter or return, this will break the functionality of the link.]]> <![CDATA[How do I change my email password?]]> To change the password for your community email account (yourname@catholicweb.com), log in to your email account and follow these directions:

Click Settings to change any of your personal information, including your password. Here's how to change your password:

  1. Click Settings
  2. Click the Accounts tab
  3. In the new window, click Change password under the Change Password option.
  4. Enter your current password and your new password.

Make sure you create a unique password to help keep someone from breaking in to your account. Here are a few tips for creating your password, and keeping it safe:

  • Never tell anyone your password
  • Never write down your password. Even though your password will look random to others, think of a way to remember it so that you don't have to write it down
  • Change your password periodically
  • Don't choose a dictionary word as your password. Be creative
  • Include punctuation marks. Mix capital and lowercase letters. Use numbers. A variety of characters makes it harder to guess a password

If your password isn't working, or you have forgotten your password, you'll need to get it reset. To do so, submit a trouble ticket request.

]]> <![CDATA[How do I have my CatholicWeb email forwarded to another email address?]]> Your mail account lets you automatically forward incoming mail to another address, if you'd like. Here's how to forward messages automatically:

  1. Log in to your mail account.
  2. Click Settings at the top of any mail page.
  3. Click Forwarding and POP along the top of the Mail Settings box.
  4. Enter the email address to which you'd like your messages forwarded.
  5. Select the action you'd like your messages to take from the drop-down menu. You can choose to keep your copy of the message in your inbox, or you can send it automatically to All Mail or Trash.'
  6. Click Save Changes.

You also can set up filters to forward messages that meet specific criteria.

You will not lose any mail already stored in your account. Make sure to occasionally clear your old e-mail or save it to your local computer from time to time for archiving purposes.

    When using a desk top based e-mail software (i.e. Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudura), and if you set your e-mail accounts to clear all messages off the mail server when retrieving, then the limits of e-mail stored on your local computer are determined by your desk top e-mail software settings.

    Additionally, the Google mail server has such a large capacity (6800+ MB) that it is highly unlikely that you should run out of space.

    ]]>         <![CDATA[Is there a way to tell if I saved a "sent" email message but forgot to actually ...]]> If you option to "save" a message (for instance, if you are interrupted while composing an email and you are not yet ready to send it), then that message will be saved into your "Draft" folder, but will NOT be sent. If you subsequently send that draft, then the message is automatically REMOVED from your draft folder and placed into your "sent" folder. So, yes, if a message is listed as a "sent" message, it has been sent.

    You can change your options for "sent" messages by using the 'Account Options' menu in the upper-right hand corner of the main screen. Select 'Set my Preferences' and then, under 'Mail Sending Options,' answer YES to the option to 'Save copy of outgoing mail in Sent folder.' That way, all outgoing message will always be saved in your sent folder, and you will not have to remember to check the box on the 'compose' screen every time you send an email. You might also want to select 'Confirm sent messages' so that you will immediately know whether a message has been successfully sent.

    Please note, that there is no option to automatically save drafts. You must SELECT that option at the bottom of the 'compose' screen if you want to save a draft to work on at a later time. If you have neither saved a message into your draft folder nor sent the message, and you LOG OFF from Web mail, the message will NOT be saved anywhere.
    ]]>         <![CDATA[The Google justification form is not accepting my email address/web address.]]> Be sure you are only entering the CatholicWeb URL (mywebaddress) and not your full URL (http://mywebaddress.catholicweb.com). Please note this line on the page with the form:
     
    Enter only the web address portion shown in bold, not the entire URL.
    Example:     http://mywebaddress.catholicweb.com
     
    The same applies to the email address field. Enter only your CatholicWeb email username (i.e.: mysername) and not your full email address (i.e. myusername@catholicweb.com)
