Text Navigation and How to use it

Customizing your navigation menu has never been easier. To access the Layout menu, click on Step 2 in the EZ Web Site Builder, and then click Website & Menu Layout. Here you have the options of Buttons, Text, Advanced, and Drop Menu.  We will be focusing on the Text Navigation.

Not sure what Text Navigation is?  Text Navigation as it relates to EZ Web is simply a navigation menu with text links.  These text links can be worded and customized to meet your needs.  If you'd like to see an example of a site using Text Navigation, check out this week's featured site.

Here is how to start using Text Navigation.  In the Website & Menu Layout section, select the radio button next to Text.  The Text Navigation configuration will display in the page, and you will see that all of your active pages have been transformed into text links.  The first column is the order, where you can arrange the labels using numbers.  The next column is the Display Name.  In those fields, you can define custom names for each of the links.  This is the name that will appear on your EZ Web Site.  The Link Type allows you to define links to any of your Pages, Articles, and even other Websites.  The Value column is where you can define what exactly the hyperlink will link to.  If you need to delete an entry, simply check the delete box, and click Save.  Please note that deleting the link will not delete the actual page, just the link itself.  Adding a new row is as simple as clicking the Add a New Row Button.  Remember to click Save when you are done.
